Distinguishing features: Calcicalathina with narrow rim and central-area filled by a layered, granular mass. Seen in plan and side view. Layered central area structure is distinctive in XPL. Overall height is highly variable.

Distinguishing features: Calcicalathina with narrow rim and central-area filled by a layered, granular mass. Seen in plan and side view. Layered central area structure is distinctive in XPL. Overall height is highly variable.


Morphology remarks: May not be closely related to C. oblongata and only tentatively placed in this genus and family. Mainly documented in side view but Bown in Gale et al. (2011) show distinctive plan view images.
