Citation: Ceratolithus separatus Bukry 1979
Rank: species
Taxonomic discussion: This form is rather different from typical C. cristatus but is only sporadically present and intergrades occur. However Blair et al. (2017) record it as having a LAD in the Early Pleistocene, between the LADs of D. brouweri and C. macintyrei.

Distinguishing features: Arms sub-parallel and separated by a broad arch.
