Cruciellipsis cuvillieri

Classification: Mesozoic -> Podorhabdales -> Cretarhabdaceae -> Cruciellipsis -> Cruciellipsis cuvillieri
Sister taxa: C. cuvillieri, C. sp.,

Distinguishing features: Large (8-12 µm) Cretarhabdids with relatively broad shields and a central area spanned by tapering, broad, axial cross bars that are strongly birefringent with median extinction lines.

Daughter taxa: (blue => in age window 0-800Ma)
Normal form, as per species descrition
Like Cruciellipsis cuvillieri cuvillieri but larger (>10 µm) and with small central area
