Geological Range:
Notes: Recorded from the Late Jurassic in the original description but from Early Cretaceous by Theirstein (1973) and in illustrated specimens here. The holotype came from DSDP Leg1 Site 4 and according to Bukry & Bramlette (1969) the basal core in the site
Last occurrence (top): within Barremian Stage (126.30-130.77Ma, top in Barremian stage). Data source: Thierstein 1973
First occurrence (base): within Valanginian Stage (133.88-139.39Ma, base in Valanginian stage). Data source: Thierstein 1973
