Distinguishing features: Cysts with tangential wall-structure and epicystal archaeopyles

Original description: Calciodinelloid dinoflagellate cysts built by a single calcareous layer. Crystals of the calcareous cyst wall layer are oriented with their crystallographic c-axis tangential to the cyst surface. Paratabulation patterns are present. The operculum includes apical, intercalary, and precingular plates. Epicystal archeopyle.
