Geological Range:
Notes: Confined to the Campanian in the Boreal realm according to Burnett (1998), and used as a subzone marker. It was, however, described from Maastrictian sedments in the Southern Ocean, co-occuring with Nephrolithus frequens. So, its range in the Austral Realm is evidently longer than in the Boreal. [my interpretation - JRY 2017]
Last occurrence (top): within Maastrichtian Stage (66.04-72.05Ma, top in Maastrichtian stage). Data source: Wise & Wind 1977, Pospichal & Wise 1990
First occurrence (base): within UC15a subzone (79.00-80.97Ma, base in Campanian stage). Data source: Burnett 1998
