Distinguishing features: A petaloid nannolith with eight rays.


Morphology remarks: Applegate and Bergen (1988) cited the layered nature of the wall structure as evidence for the generic affinities of this nannolith. However, there appears to be one kind of cycle only, and these are flat and do not spiral, so differ from other species in the genus. These nannoliths are short and not observed in side view.
