Distinguishing features: Conical shaped holococcolith, usually seen in side view, base weak or absent


Morphology remarks: "Delicate-looking holococcoliths that, in side view, have the outline of a hollow isosceles triangle. The base-plate is virtually invisible. Where the spine joins the base-plate, there are two bright spots." [Lees 2007]
