Distinguishing features: Genera incertae sedis with radial structure and tangential c-axis orientation


Daughter taxa: (blue => in age window 0-800Ma) Granddaughter taxa
Stellate, multiradiate, rosette-shaped nannoliths constructed from >6 single crystal-unit radial rays that show grey to white birefringence under XPL.

Cylindrical nannoliths, typically with flanges at both ends and so cotton-reel-shaped in side view.

Notes & discussion: This is an informal grouping. The tangetial c-axis orientation suggests these genera belong to one or other of the families included here in the Braarudosphaerales.  Acadialithus, Rucinolithus and Hayesites are three oher gnera that are currently placed in the more geberal Nannoliths incertae sedis category that might belong here.  [my interpretation - JRY 2019]
