Original description: Diagnose: Celtulae rotundatae -- pyriformae -- reniformae, circiter 6 µm latae, 8 µm longae, in statu gloeocystoideo viventes. Chromatophoro uno parietali cum stigmate, vacuolis contractilibus 1-2. In cytoplasmate 2 grana magna ellipsoidea lucem vehementer frangentia. Cellulae mobiles +/- rotundatae, apice cure depressione. Flagella bina inaequalia: flagello generali 1½-2 protoplasti longitudine, flagello altero cellutae circiter aequilongo. - Neusiedlersee, auf Myriophyllum spicatum bei der Biologischen Station Neusiedl.
