Morphology remarks: Holotype is a side view and the paratype plan views are unclear. The species concept has varied between authors (e.g. see emendations by Bukry, 1969 and Black, 1973).

Geological Range:
Last occurrence (top): at top of Maastrichtian Stage (100% up, 66Ma, in Maastrichtian stage). Data source: Lees & Bown 2005 - consistently present to end Cret
