Taxonomy:

Citation: Rhombolithion Black, 1973
Rank: Genus
Type species: Zygolithus rhombicus Stradner & Adamiker, 1966.
Taxonomic discussion: Most of the described species are very similar

Farinacci & Howe catalog pages: Rhombolithion *

Distinguishing features: Diamond-shaped; rim unicyclic (stradnerlithids).

Morphology: Genus differentiated on coccolith outline but otherwise very similar to Stradnerlithus. Arguably a junior synonym of Stradnerlithus.
