Notes & discussion: Similar to Mesozoic Staurolithites species but the only Cenozoic representative currently recognised: characterized by small size and compact morphology.

Distinguishing features: Small (<4 µm) elliptical muroliths with narrow bicyclic rim and narrow central area spanned by a small axial cross.
