Distinguishing features: Zeugrhabdotus with bicyclic rim and and a central area spanned by a single bar that tapers at both ends. The inner-rim cycle is prominent and bright in XPL. The two rim cycles are comparable in width but the inner cycle may be broader, and is usually complete around the inner edge of the rim. Strongly curved extinction lines cross the bright inner cycle.

Distinguishing features: Zeugrhabdotus with bicyclic rim and and a central area spanned by a single bar that tapers at both ends. The inner-rim cycle is prominent and bright in XPL. The two rim cycles are comparable in width but the inner cycle may be broader, and is usually complete around the inner edge of the rim. Strongly curved extinction lines cross the bright inner cycle.


Morphology remarks: Closest in morphology to Zeugrhabdotus trivectis Bergen 1994 but Z. clarus has a plainer, more simply constructed bar. It is also comparable to the rim morphologies seen in the genera Placozygus and Eiffellithus.

Size: Length = 4.0-5.5 (holotype 5.1) µm
