Taxonomic discussion: The main purpose of these pages is to enable coccolithophore specialists to identify other organisms they find in their preparations. We hope to develop fairly comprehensive coverage of non-calcifying Haptophytes and biomineralising organisms in the nannoplankton size range - e.g. calcareous dinoflagellates, silicoflagellates, and Parmales. Other groups will just be covered enough to allow users to know where to go for more detailed identification.
