Type level: Upper Cretaceous, Marlbrook Marl, eight feet above base.

Original Description
Test planispiral, involute, trochoid in the earliest chambers, especially in the microspheric form; chambers in the early stages globular, in the adult stage the last-formed chambers are flattened and the last one is divided into 2 globular chambers, one on each side of the plane of coiling; sutures distinct, depressed; wall calcareous, perforate, with tiny spines on the surface; aperture consisting of a low arch at the base of the last chambers, and quite indistinct.
