Original Description
[Translation from the Russian.- Test oval, with a lobate periphery. Dorsal side inflated, number of whorls three and one- half to four; in the first two whorls there five small chambersin each; in the last two there are four chambers in each, with deep sutures. Ventrally, there are four chambers surrounding the deep umbilicus. [Test oval, conical, with a rounded, lobate periphery. Dorsal side convex, with four whorls. Beginning with the second whorl chambers gradually enlarge. First whorl with five minute, weakly discernible, chainlike chambers; the second whorl also has five chambers, but they are semispherical and well expressed. The third and fourth whorls have four semispherical, later subspherical, chambers each, which gradually increase in size. Ventrally, there are only four large inflated chambers, of which only three are radially inclined toward the umbilicus, the fourth being perpendicular to the preceding ones. Sutures between chambers of the first whorl barely discernible on the dorsal side; later they become slightly curved, strongly depressed; and ventrally they are straight and deep. Aperture slitlike, in the last chamber, at the umbilical depression. Wall calcareous, densely porous, with short spines between the pores. Diameter 0.40 mm., thickness 0.25 mm.
