Original Description
Translation from the Russian. - Test small, bilaterally convex, the umbilical side somewhat more so than the spiral side. Outer margin rounded. In the last whorl are four to four and a half low chambers, quite strongly inflated and closely adjoining. Sutures weakly depressed. Umbilicus narrow. Aperture opens into the umbilicus. Wall finely spinose. Spines short; at the umbilical ends of the chamhers and on the periphery, at the start of the last whorl, they are still barely larger than on the rest of the test surface. Surface has a fine-textured roughness.

Size: holotype (fig. 1 a-c): Greatest diameter 0.35, least diameter 0.32, height 0.26 mm

Extra details from original publication
Variability. - This species is very variable in test shape and in the number of chambers in the last whorl. Besides the four-chambered forms, ones with five chambers are found. The chambers join either closely or more freely. Spiral side is either convex or markedly flattened.

. - From Acarinina acarinata Subbotina the species described differs by its smaller dimensions and the globigerinoid form of the test. The differentiation in spinosity in it is expressed much more weakly than in the comparable species. The outer margin is rounded. The last whorl with its few chambers, the close arrangement of the chambers, and the weak differentiation in spinosity distinguish it from A. praecursoria Morozova.
