Original Description
"Diagnosis.- The minute test consists of about two whorls of slowly enlarging, slightly embracing, inflated chambers, arranged in a los trochospire with five to six chambers in each whorl, the number per whorl decreasing during ontogeny. The chambers are subvoid, and enlarge more rapidly in the later whorls. In equatorial profile the test is subovate and the equatorial periphery is lobulate. In axial profile the test is subovate, the dorsal side being flattened and the ventral side being relatively strongly convex; the axial periphery is broadly rounded. In axial view, the chambers are ovoid. The sutures are distinctly depressed. The dorsal intercameral sutures are curved, meeting the weakly lobulate spiral suture and the periphery of the test at broad angles. The ventral sutures are subradial or very slightly curved. In dorsal view the chambers are initially semicircular to reniform, but they broaden relatively more rapidly in the later ontogenic stages. The ventral umbilicus is narrow but open and deep; the umbilical margins of the adjacent chambers are steeply convex. The final aperture extends from the umbilicus to the periphery; it is distinctly broadest at its anterior end, where it forms a high arch. The aperture is furnished with a thin and narrow lip throughout its length, often broadest at the mid-point. The wall of the test is thin and usually translucent; it is uniformly and fairly densely perforate. The surface of the test is very weakly hispid in the vecinity of the umbilicus, and on the earlier chambers (of the last whorl) which face the aperture; elsewhere the surface is smooth.

Size: Maximum diameter of holotype: 0.155 mm.
