Original Description
"Test free, large, low trochospiral with nearly flat spiral side, umbilicoconvex; equatorial periphery slightly lobate; axial periphery angular, with single keel. Chambers triarcuate and petaloid on spiral side; subrectangular to subtriangular, inflated on umbilical side; increasing rapidly in size, 6-8 in final whorl. Sutures curved, raised, beaded on spiral side; depressed, radial on umbilical side. Wall calcareous, perforate, radial in structure; surface smooth. Umbilicus wide and deep. Aperture interiomarginal, extraumbilical-umbilical, extending onto the margin with apertural flaps extending into the umbilical cavity."
