Current identification/main database link: Gansserina gansseri (Bolli, 1951)

Original Description
Test high spired, ventral side strongly convex and inflated, dorsal side slightly but markedly concave. Four chambers make constantly the last whorl of the test, the inner whorl being comparatively much smaller than the later one. Sutures on the ventral side are deep, very slightly curved, almost radial, on the dorsal side slightly curved and raised, sometimes beaded. The periphery in some cases is spinose and usually has a single weakly developed keel. The aperture opens at the base of the last chamber in the wide, deep and open umbilicus.
