Original description: Test small to medium; pores large relative to size of test, widely separated and evenly distributed over test surface; coiling relatively compact; chambers subglobular to subspherical; increasing gradually in size as added and arranged in a low trochospire of about two and one half volutions; usually six chambers in the last whorl; final chamber offset toward umbilicus; sutures distinct, deep radial and straight; umbilicus small; primary aperture interiomarginal, umbilical to extraumbilical, portici small, sounded, spatulate, rarely preserved."
