Original description: Test rotaliform, dorsal side convex, ventral side umbilicate; periphery rounded; chambers subglobular, closely appressed and penultimate chambers sometimes smaller than anatepenultimate; sutures distinct, depressed, slightly curved; wall calcareous, finely perforate; aperture opening into umbilicus, almost invariably obscured by foreign material.
