Rank: Species
Basionym: Globigerinelloides rosebudensis
Synonyms: Globotruncana (Rugoglobigerina) beldingi beldingi; Globotruncana (Rugoglobigerina) beldingi subbeldingi
Taxonomic discussion: Does not belong in Globigerinelloides since it is low trochospiral. [copied from Chronos database]

Type images:

Original description: Test low trochospiral (according to E & M), biumbilicate, involute to slightly evolute, laterally compressed with a broad imperforate peripheral band, peripheral margin ovate, lobate; 6-7 chambers in the final whorl; chambers in lateral view ovoid, weakly inflated, increasing gradually in size as added; chambers in apertural view initially spherical to subspherical, expanding only slightly in width as added, terminal 2-3 chambers becoming compressed and elongate-ellipsoidal in shape, umbilici wide, shallow; evolute side showing portions of chambers of previous whorls, opporsite side more strongly involute; sutures radial, straight to slightly curved, depressed; early chambers of the last whole; wall rather coarsely perforate except for broad imperforate peripheral band; aperture interomarginal, spiro-umbilical, a broad asymmetrical arch extending onto the umbilical side of the test; primary aperture bordered by a thickened, well-developed lip extending into the umbilici; liplike relict apertural borders of terminal 2-3 chambers preserved in umbilical area.

Geological Range:
Last occurrence (top): within A. mayaroensis zone (67.30-69.18Ma, top in Maastrichtian stage). Data source: [copied from Chronos database]

Plot of occurrence data:

Dec 2017 - Plotting of Neptune data has been re-enabled on the Mesozoic pages following revision of the age-models in Neptune. The data is, however, still very sparse for the Early Cretaceous
