Editors' Notes
[Campbell [1954, p.D143] regards Lithocorythium as an objective synonym of Lithobotrys Ehrenberg, 1844a. However, this seems inappropriate as the type species of Lithobotrys [Lithobotrys quadriloba Ehrenberg, 1844a] was not among those species assigned to Lithocorythium at the time of its generic definition. Species included at that time are Lithobotrys galea Ehrenberg, 1844a and Lithocorythium oxylophos Ehrenberg, 1847b.]
