Darum hat denn der Verfasser die Geolithia in folgende Gruppen, die er, beiläufig, nur der Analogie wegen, Genera nennt, abgetheilt: Strahlige Kieseltheile dieser Art Actinolithis.

[As far as is known no type species has been designated from among those first subsequently assigned to Actinolithis. Species included at that time are: A. apiculata [probably not a radiolarian], A. hexaclados [probably not a radiolarian], A. neptunia, A. ? ornithopus, A. spinosa, A. tornata [probably not a radiolarian] A. trifida [probably not a radiolarian] all in Ehrenberg, 1875.]
