Original Description
5a. Tribus: Petalospyrida. Polyspyrida acuta (cum spina apicali).
B. spinis apicalibus tribus (media occipitali, duabus parietalibus).
BII. pedibus ramosis.

Translation: 5a. Tribe: Petalospyrida. Acute Polyspyrida (with apical spine).
B. With three apical spines (one median occipital, two parietal).
BII. With branched feet. (Translated from Latin by E.M.R. and W.R.R.)]

Etymology: From the Greek liriospyris = lily-basket
