Original Description
Skeleton consisting of an internal shell (approximately spherical to hemi-ellipsoidal) and an outer shell (approximately hemi-ellipsoidal to toroidal) joined by spines common to both shells.
Etymology: From the Greek oros = hill; and pagis = snare or trap, an allusion to the skeletal structure resembling a fish trap.
