Original Description
[Sphere oblong-globose, spongy, with thorny surface, with an obscure median nucleus, and irregular pores not in rows; with two opposite spines strongly thickened and slightly sulcate, acute terminally. Length without spines 185 µ, of a larger spine 135 µ. Width 125 µ. Diameter of nucleus 41 µ. Width of a spine 41 µ. (Translated from Latin by E.M.R. and W.R.R.)]
