Citation: Stylodictya stellata Bailey 1856
Rank: species
Basionym: Stylodictya stellata

Catalog entries: Stylodictya stellata

Original description: Shell with five or more concentric rings, the outer one armed with short spines. Diameter 5m to 6m.
QTI believe this to be a Stylodictya rather than a Flustrella in consequence of indications that the spines radiate from the centre, and are not mere marginal appendages.
Remarks on original description: The micro-unit employed by Bailey is 1/1000 of an English inch expressed in integers and fractions.[comment from RadWorld database]
