Original Description
3a. Tribus: Taurospyrida. Tetraspyrida acuta, cum spina apicali.
C. spinis apicalibus duabus parietalibus (media occipitali perdita) pedibus simplicibus.

Translation: 3a. Tribe: Taurospyrida. Acute Tetraspyrida, with apical spine.
C. With two parietal apical spines (the median occipital one being lost), and simple feet. (Translated from Latin by E.M.R. and W.R.R.)]

Etymology: Greek taurospyris = bull-basket"
