Original Description

Diagnosis: Angochitininae with an ovoid body, equipped with a fairly short subcylindrical neck; oral opening surrounded by a flared collar; flexure and shoulder weakly marked; ornamentation consisting of a reticulum covering most of the body and extending aborally into a tubular perforated structure.

Extra details from original publication
Discussion: This new genus differs significantly from other Angochitininae which, except for Muscochitina PARIS, 1981, do not have reticulated ornamentation. In Muscochitina, the fine multilayered mesh covering the entire chamber has no real similarity with the simple reticulum extending into a sleeve in Parisochitina n.gen. Among Cyathochitininae, Anthochitina EISENACK, 1971 and Sagenachitina JENKINS, 1970 possess a reticulated structure. However, this is limited to the aboral margin where it forms a perforated keel, surrounding a conical body with a flat bottom. By its silhouette, Parisochitina n.gen. resembles Siphonochitina JENKINS, 1967, particularly by the existence of a sleeve extending aborally in both genera. The reticulation affecting both the body and the sleeve in Parisochitina, however, allows these two genera to be unambiguously separated. Finally, among Chitinozoans with reticulated ornamentation, Pseudoclathrochitina CRAMER, 1967 differs from Parisochitina n.gen. by its lack of a neck and the shape of its body.

Untranslated description
