Coccospheres monomorphic with ca. 150 coccoliths. Cocoliths elliptical with an asymmetrical distal flange, and a short tube. Distal flange consists of two parts; the vertical part is trapezoid and composed of usually 6 vertical, tightly spaced elements, the third of which normally has a spine; the horizontal part is much narrower and thinner than the vertical part and without granules on inner edge [abbreviated from orignal description].

The coccoliths are 1.65–2.00 μm long and 0.70–0.80 μm wide, and the tube is ca. 0.24 μm high. The proximal flange is ca. 0.20 μm wide. The vertical part of the distal flange is 1.00–1.50 μm high (without spine), 1.25–2.20 μm wide, and 0.15 μm thick; the narrow horizontal flange is 0.35 μm wide.
