Taxonomy:

Citation: Blackites pseudomorionum (Locker, 1967) Aubry, 1999
Taxonomic rank: species
Basionym: Rhabdosphaera pseudomorionum Locker, 1967

Distinguishing features:
Parent taxon (B. inflatus group): Spine inflated with maximum width above base, many with conspicous bulge
This taxon: Rhabdoliths with a relatively tall, broad, hollow spine that widens to a maximum and then tapers sharply to a point, forming a distinctive angular inflection point. The inflection point appears to be at the junction of two structural units that are distinct in XPL. Typically the spine is much taller (x 2), but approximately the same width, as the coccolith.
