Taxonomic rank: generic level id
Synonyms: Aspidorhabdus ovalis Hay & Towe (1962) - this clearly a Rhabdosphaerid base, probably of a "Blackites" species, with the spine broken off, however absence of a radial lath cycle would probably exclude the species from Blackites.

Parent taxon (Blackites): Coccoliths process-bearing with complex base including outer rim, radial lath and lamellar cycles
This taxon: Specimens which cannot be assigned to any established species
