Distinguishing features:
Parent taxon (Scyphosphaera): Coccospheres with Pontosphaera-like body coccoliths and equatorial coccoliths with rims elevated into vase-like structures (lopadoliths).
This taxon: Strongly elevated (>5x as high as wide) with maximum width near base, rare.
