Original Description
Description: The outline of the coccolith is elliptical to polygonal. The plates that make up the coccolith are trapezoidal or triangular in shape and unequal in size. However, four large "main plates" can be distinguished and are also clearly visible under a light microscope.

Distribution: T. multiplus is not uncommon in the Maastrichtian (L. quadratus Zone) of Majunga, Madagascar. Similar forms are also known from the Danian of Denmark and Austria.
