Taxonomic discussion: Probably a spurious species based on pairs of ascidian spicules.
These forms resemble Ceratolithus cristatus but are more angular and have different crystallographic orientation (c-axis parallel to length in ascidian spicules vs perpendicular to length in C. cristatus)
