Etymology: From Latin pellicula, skin.

Editors' Notes
Spelling: the species name is spelt pelliculathus in the original description (de Kaenel & Villa 1996 p. 123) but pelliculatus in the figure captions, abstract and on the occurrence tables.  The derivation of the name is given as "from Latin pellicula, skin". Given this derivation the correct form should be pelliculatus, so this is used here.
