Sister taxa: C. cristatus, C. nishidae ⟩⟨ C. apiculus, C. armatus, C. atlanticus, C. larrymayeri, C. separatus, C. sp.

Citation: Ceratolithus larrymayeri Backman & Raffi, in Raffi et al. 1998
Rank: Species

Taxonomic discussion:
Possibly related to C. atlanticus, which has highly variable morphology and similar stratigraphic range. Also rather similar to C. armatus in shape of apical area.

Distinguishing features:
Parent taxon (Ceratolithus): Ceratoliths strongly birefringent
This taxon: Delicate ceratolith with thin arms and apical spine; featureless surface.
