Distinguishing features: Large (holotype 11µm) Eiffellithus with thick diagonal cross-bars
Morphology: This form is distinct from other species of Eiffellithus in being large, very highly birefringent, and having a broad thick cross filling the central area. [Burnett 1997]
Ecology & Biogeography: This form has only been observed in the Indian Ocean basin and immediate environs. [Burnett 1997]
