Taxonomic discussion: Name is from Tim Adey, student of Alex Poulton who found specimens in AMT samples.

Distinguishing features: A species of Gladiolithus with long narrow tube-coccoliths tapering continuously from the base to the tip. Lepidoliths are formed of a single calcite plate with a narrow rim.

Size: Tube coccoliths- 19-22µm long; base 0.7-0.9µm wide. Lepidoliths - elliptical 1.1 to 1.2 µm long
