Morphology: Flat, elliptical holococcolith formed from six crystallographic blocks divided by near-radial sutures.
Differentiation: Similar to Cretaceous coccoliths of the genus Calculites, but this species is distinguished by being flat and having six similarly-sized crystallographic blocks. [Bown & Newsam 2017]
Size: Holotype L = 4.9μm (Paratype L = 4.8μm).
