Morphology: Short, cylindrical nannoconids with thin and low angled wall cycles, and relatively narrow axial canal.
Differs from N. abundans in lacking an flanges, from N. circularis, N. globulus and N. inconspicuous in having a narrower canal, and from N. ligius in its non-petalloid profile.


Ecology & Biogeography: Mainly Boreal (North Sea Basin) distribution.
