Taxonomy:
Distinguishing features: BCs oval with 5 longitudinal bars and one crossbar CFCs circular with cross, stem supports two elements each with wing-like blades.

Morphology: CFCs redistributed around coccosphere, as well as occurring at flagellar pole.
Biology & life-cycles: Combination coccospheres with Turrisphaera type holococcoliths seen (Thomsen & Ostergaard 2014) and coccosphers of these holococcoliths subsequently recognised (Thomsen & Ostergaard 2015)
