Distinguishing features: Coccoliths with tall, narrow, quadrate spines; high rim with smooth distal rim.

Morphology: Spines have narrow axial canal. Proximal cycle not seen to date, but these are very small coccoliths. No evidence of coccolith dimorphism seen (Dunkley Jones et al. 2009)
