Synonyms: Zygrhablithus bijugatus subsp. galeiformis Steurbaut (2011) [my interpretation - JRY 2015; the specimens ilustrated by Steurbaut are slightly larger and broader than those of Varol but both were described from NP12 and they appear to be the same taxon]

Taxonomic discussion: This form is similar to Zygrhablithus bijugatus subsp. nolfi but more elevated.

Distinguishing features: Cavate holococcolith with a base and hollow distal process with 4 arches. The process and most of the base are formed of four blocks, in addition a narrow rim surrounds the base.
