Distinguishing features:
Parent taxon (Calyculaceae): Elevated placoliths, tube tall and proximal shield reduced; central-area with variable proximal cover.
The distal shield is formed from V-units and the proximal shield from R-units. Commonly observed in side view.
This taxon: Trumpet-shaped coccoliths with small, disc-like proximal shield and high, flaring distal shield.

Dear all,
I recently published a paper where I discussed the taxonomy of the genus Carinolithus based on morphometric analyses and diagenesis observations. This resulted in two new subspecies for the taxon Carinolithus superbus and two new subspecies for the taxon Carinolithus magharensis. Additionally the species Carinolithus cantaluppii was rejected as a diagenetic artefact. The reference is here:https://doi.org/10.1016/j.marmicro.2020.101950
Could we add these information to nannotax database (also pictures of the new taxa would be of great help).
