Distinguishing features:
Parent taxon (Michaelsarsia): Coccosphere with apical appendages formed from string of three highly-modified coccoliths, supported by whorl coccoliths
This taxon: BCs oblong; whorl and link coccoliths with narrow opening

BCs - oblong (sides sub-parallel), elongate; rim narrow; axial structure is low ridge of numerous small elements.
CFCs - spine with broad central canal.
Whorl coccoliths - with narrow opening.
Link coccoliths - narrow, sides almost touching.
