Distinguishing features:
Parent taxon (R. reticulata group): Typically circular reticulofenestrids with relatively narrow circular central area with robust grill (clearly visible in lm).
This taxon: Like R. reticulata but smaller (5-8 µm) and with wide central area (ca 1.5x rim width)
| LITHS: placolith, circular, elliptical, CA: grill, CSPH: equant, monomorphic, CROSS-POLARS: rim-unicyclic, R-prominent, |
| Lith size: 5->8µm; Data source notes: Range of specimens included by Jones & Dunkley Jones 2020 |
Most common in CNE15 (NP17), and more common than other members of the R. reticulata group in this core. Consistently observedup to the top of CNE19 (NP19/20), and present to the top of CNO1 (NP21) [Jones & Dunkley Jones 2020]
